Every year Flickr asks its users to nominate their favourite image that they have taken that year, so this year, I’ve submitted the above picture to the Your Best Shot 2012 pool. It was taken back in February at the Bradford Industrial Museum, and depicts one of the huge weaving machines there. It was taken in colour, but I converted it to black and white for a more dramatic effect.
Unlike last year when there were many photos to consider, this quickly stood out as my favourite picture. On the whole, I haven’t taken as many photos this year, and there are quite a lot still sat in iPhoto waiting to be uploaded, including some from Chester from a couple of months ago. I just haven’t had the time to go through them.
It’s nice to see the photo get some attention; before submitting it to the pool it had only received 34 views, and since then it’s had another 100 or so plus five favourites. It’s still not my most favourited image on Flickr – bizarrely, it’s this picture of my toolbox that holds that honour.
