Busy busy busy

If I had a pound for every time someone spelled my name like this, I'd be a rich man

Things have been quiet around here as I’m going through a very busy period at work – as I usually do in August, what with working at a university. Today has been the 10th successive day that I’ve been at work, with another three to go; last Saturday was the only day off in what would otherwise be almost three weeks without a break. Thankfully, things are starting to calm down so I’m not working late as well. Suffice to say, I’ll have plenty of time off in lieu of overtime later this year.

There’s a few things that I plan to blog about, particularly in the realm of social media – Twitter’s proposed API changes, and the launch of app.net, for example. Speaking of which, if you’ve shelled out the $50 to join app.net, I would appreciate your thoughts.

  1. While I understand why app.net was created, I think it’s a pain to have “yet one more thing” to have to “follow” your friends on. It will be interesting to see how many people move from Twitter to app.net to get a feal for how splintered my timeline will be across the two services.

Now, get off my lawn you kids.
