Day 29 of the 30 Day Song Challenge – the penultimate day! – is a song from your childhood. While this isn’t my early childhood, the first music tape (because CDs were new then) I bought was when I was 9, and “Rhythm is a Dancer” by Snap was on it. I’ve chosen this because it’s a song I still listen to today, albeit as an MP3 ripped from a CD from when a remix was released in 2003, 10 years after the original. But I still have the tape somewhere, and we still own a cassette player.
I also like the somewhat un-politically correct lyric of “I’m as serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer” – I don’t think you could so easily get away with that nowadays.
