Lister Park

Cartwright Hall

About a week and a half ago I went with my parents to Lister Park and Cartwright Hall, in the north of Bradford. Cartwright Hall was having an exhibition of pictures and photographs by David Hockney, who is originally from Bradford and so it had a lot of his earlier paintings from the city and some of his montage photography too.

Though I obviously couldn’t take pictures inside the gallery, I took quite a few while walking around in the park outside. This was actually the second time I had been to Lister Park (named after Samuel Lister, not Dave) but I didn’t take many photos then and in any case they were lost when my hard disk failed just over 2 years ago. I’ve uploaded the better ones to this set on Flickr.
