The IMDb Meme

The IDMb meme is where you post a copy of the top 250 films on IMDb and then highlight the ones you have seen. It made the rounds some time ago but Richard has just done it again so I’ve followed suit. I’ve also italicised those films that I own on DVD or video.

So that’s 21 out of 250 – not even 10%. Ah well. I guess I’m not a film buff 🙂 . That said, there are a number of films on there that I do intend to see – the Star Wars films for example (I’m waiting until all 6 are out and then I’ll watch them in order). And thankfully I’ve seen 0 of the 100 worst films.

  1. Cool list, I might nick this idea. It’s quite impressive how many of the films are highlighted. Though I might be just impressed with my list when I get to do it!
Side note: Why are some of the numbers bold while others note when main text is? Starting around 118…

  2. Looks like you’ve missed a few “b”s in your code. Maybe you should use the more appropriate “strong” and “em”phasis instead. Also, validation!

  3. Bah, I knew that would happen :-/ . Should be fixed now.

  4. IMDb List

Just got this one off rd1701’s blog (from whence it came via Neil’s World by way of lostpilgrim who got it from Simon Pegg’s Stalker, who says the blogging world is insular?) The idea is to take the IMDb top 250 movies list and highlight all those y…

  5. You call yourself a student but you haven’t seen Pulp Fiction, the Life of Brian, Trainspotting or Toy Story 2?!!!!
    Get them watched!

  6. Hey, I’m working on it! 🙂
My housemate has Pulp Fiction so I’ll watch that at some point soon.

  7. The IMDb Meme

The IDMb meme is where you post a copy of the top 250 films on IMDb and then highlight the ones you have seen. I saw this over on Neil Turner’s blog so here’s my list. The films I’ve seen…

  8. IMDB 250 Meme

Dave’s done it, Neil’s done it and another person who I don’t have on my blog-roll has done it (Richard) so I’m gonna do it too (that and the fact that since Kathryn is busy with relatives I kinda have time to spare…) I’ve italicised those I own on…

  9. I’ve been tracking my own progress through the top 250 for the last few weeks, with the aid of a few clumsily hacked together Perl scripts. Click on my name to see my ‘visual checklist’…
Currently I’m at 48 out of 250, and I’m actually hoping to see all of them someday (or all of the top 100, more realistically). But even if I eventually succeed in seeing them all, it’ll probably be short-lived, because the list is a moving target.
And I wouldn’t wait to watch Star Wars in a 6-movie marathon… there are many reasons that episodes I and II aren’t in the top 250. 🙂

  10. You’ll watch Star Wars in order? Are you a mad man? Everyone knows the correct order in which to watch the Star Wars films is 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3. And you want to be ready to watch Revenge of the Sith in the cinima ’cause it’s just not the same on video. So do it now!
And aren’t you missing out on quite a lot in the Pixar films by not getting the Star Wars referances?

  11. The IMDb Meme

OK, it may look like I’m being ridiculously unimaginative by just posting memes (it is unimaginative), but seeing as there isn’t a lot going on, I thought I might as well. At least these memes reflect what I’m like – I’m not just posting random ones ab…

  12. 100 Movies

It’s an old meme, and I’m a sucker when it comes to showing stuff off, like what I listen to or what I’ve seen, and this is no different……

  13. IMDB Meme

STOLEN FROM NEIL @ http://WWW.NEILTURNER.ME.UK Here is the deal, this is a list of the top 250 movies on IMDB, I’ll list the ones I’ve seen in bold. 1. The Godfather (1972) 2. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) 3. The Lord…
