Bowling for Super

Hope all you Yankees enjoy the Super Bowl – I’d watch it but at 11:20pm it’s a bit late for a Sunday night, and besides, us UK people don’t get to see the adverts. Which is surely the best part, right?
And by the way – who the hell is Gretchen Wilson? I caught a bit of the warm-up in the pub on Sky Sports and saw her performing. I can’t say I’ve ever heard of her – this Gretchen is the only one I’ve ever heard of.

  1. Apparently, some country singer. Definatly not my type of music… :/

  2. Gretchen Wilson is a newcomer to the country/pop crossover genre made popular with acts such as Garth Brooks, Toby Keith and Shania Twain
Her first 3 singles (“Redneck Woman”, “Here For The Party” (which she played tonight) and “When I Think Aabout Cheating”) have been moderatly successful over here.
Yes, I’m a fountain of knowleedge for country music now after a year in the South

Yes. I think normally a few weeks after, you can see them on iFilm.

  4. You don’t have to wait a few weeks… they were all posted within minutes of airing. http://dyn.ifilm.com/superbowlads

  5. ifilm.com was incredibly slow this morning although i did get to see the godaddy advert which was pretty funny. I didn’t realise it was going to be shown on itv or i’d have stayed up/video’ed it (was only expecting it to be on satellite)

  6. yeah, 12:30 is kind of late for a Sunday night. I’m American, but I’m studying in Prague so I had to miss it this year. If it weren’t for the dang 8:30 class I might have been able to see part of it though. The commercials and half-time show are the only reason I watch it and these days, they’re both going down hill. Ah well. such is life. I used one of your templates by the way. Thanks.
