Rating search engines

Don’t know whether this has any relevance at all, but:

Make of that what you will.

  1. Perhaps more importantly:
    * Google search for “James Clayton” – is the first result
    * Yahoo search for “James Clayton” – is the second result
    * MSN search for “James Clayton” – isn’t even on the first page
MSN also displays a stupid number of ads.

  2. If it makes you feel any better, MSN Search also returns W.’s biography as first result now :-).

  3. The “miserable failure” search trick has been floating around for ages as a Googlebomb. It could be that other search engines are rating incoming links more importantly too.
