The third generation

Here I am in Leeds Bradford Airport, and, if you can read this, then we have a 3G (third generation) data card connection going. πŸ™‚
The technology isn’t great – we’re stuck in a corner of the building because it’s the only place where we have a strong enough signal for data transmission. But it works.

  2. Collecting students from incoming flights and asking them if they want to send an email. Hence the 3G card.

  3. Sweet! Nothing like mobile blogging, I just don’t think I could get used to the all-thumbs way of text input.

  4. We’re actually using a laptop that uses a PCMCIA card to connect to the mobile data network. Like Wifi but slower and available in many more places. πŸ™‚
