While my iPod finishes charging, here’s today’s FridayQ, on time for once! 🙂
FQ1: You’ve been given a million dollars to donate to a worthy charity! Which organization would benefit from your generosity and why are they deserving?
That would have to be International Service, because my mum is head of fundraising there 🙂 . They do some good work in some of the poorest (Mali, Burkina Faso, Bolivia) and most dangerous (Palestine) countries in the world, providing long-term aid and development projects for the local people, such as funding schools or farming projects.
However, if I really did have $1million to give to charity, I would give it several as there are a number of charities that are all deserving of money – Cancer Research UK, Oxfam and the Electronic Frontier Foundation to name a few.
FQ2: You’ve testified against the mob and have to leave the country! Where do you go to start your new life, and what new career will you pursue?
Tricky. I’d consider Ireland or Canada since they’re (primarily) English-speaking nations and not wildly different from the culture I’m used to here. They both come across as very welcoming nations too. I’d consider France too although I’d need to polish up my French a bit first – it hasn’t been used much since I took my French A-level exam over 2 years ago.
FQ3: A movie studio has given you carte blanche to develop a sequel to a film of your choice! What’s your sequel going to be about and who’s starring in it?
I may regret saying this but I’d like to see some sequels to the forthcoming Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy film. The books have already been written for it, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Of course, if the first film isn’t up to much then perhaps there shouldn’t, but let’s hope that’s not the case.
FQ Re-Blog: A tragic computer malfunction has erased your current blog so you decide to start over again under a fictitious identity. Who would you become and what would you write about?
Heh, considering a tragic computer malfunction led to the erasure of my entire hard disk last week, I think I can handle this…
I was considering become a call girl in London who describes her relationships with her clients and friends on an anonymous basis, but that’s already been done, so I’d probably pretend to be in the legal profession and blog about some of the dumbasses who end up in court.
