The Friday Five

It’s nearly the end of a somewhat hectic week, but the next two weeks promise to be even more hectic, what with coursework and all manner of union events. But, anyway, here’s today’s Friday Five:

What was…

1. …your first grade teacher’s name?
Mrs Johnson. She retired shortly afterwards.
2. …your favorite Saturday morning cartoon?
Sharkey and George :). Of course, Saturday mornings barely exist nowadays.
3. …the name of your very first best friend?
Tom. We’re still really good mates even today.
4. …your favorite breakfast cereal?
Honey Nut Loops. Now I’m happy with a bowl of Weetabix (or supermarket own brand equivalent).
5. …your favorite thing to do after school
Usually just watch TV until my parents got home, when they’d nag me to do my homework.

  1. Good call. Sharkey and George were the best! 🙂

  2. I disagree Sharkey and George were bollocks! 🙂 (Did I use that word properly)?? Was it originally a British show? I know it was on Saturday afternoon on a local station (which tended to show low rate cartoons such as M.A.S.K. and My Pet Monster). All I remember is that Sharkey and George had North American accents, not British so they either dubbed it or it was originally in North American English (if that makes sense).
