Winzip.com

To co-incide with the launch of WinZip 9.0, which is finally out of beta, Winzip.com has changed its look, and now looks much better. The site has more of a structure and feels more professional – the old site looked very 1998.
Unfortunately, WinZip didn’t decide to jump on the standards bandwagon – it uses tables, Javascript text rollovers (!), and has 6 validation errors, even in HTML 4.01 transitional. Considering that almost all web users now use a standards compliant browser or IE (which is nearly there), it’s a pity that WinZip decided not to join the trend, particularly as their new design could be recreated using CSS quite easily.
