Countries I’ve Visited

From Dave’s Rants comes this little meme where you select the countries of the world that you have been to and a map is generated with those countries highlighted.

create your own visited country map
or write about it on the open travel guide

As you can see, I haven’t really been outside Europe. I’m unsure why almost every little island is highlighted though – I have visited Barbados but the Falklands, Christmas Island or Tuvalu…
Next on my list are the Netherlands and Ireland. I was also thinking about the US but recent changes to the way foreign visitors are ‘welcomed’ has made me think again, and besides, European countries are cheaper.

  1. Well according to that I’ve seen 4% of the world. That would be cool, but San Francisco shouldn’t really count as seeing the whole of America, and living in the UK shouldn’t really count as having been to the little islands we own all over the world.

  2. where have you been?

…that straight line all the way across the country was a bus trip from Oregon to Rhode Island and back. And Georgia was a brief airline layover back in 2002…

  3. Hopefully one day Australia may be coloured in. 🙂

  4. mapping it out

carly found this fantabulous map maker that does the visual for you!

  5. reconsider the states, the strength of the pound against the dollar means it’s a good time to visit, despite the infringments on your liberties..
