Linux + Networking = blah

Well, Mandrake’s up and running and it’s working well, with graphics, sound and ethernet all functioning as intended. The only annoyances are the total lack of support for my Winmodem and my inability to get the driver for my wireless card working (see my desperate cry if you can help). Firebird and Thunderbird work fine, and it was refreshing to see that they are both as easy to install as they are in Windows. I did install Mozilla but I prefer the two standalone programs – they’ve grown on me too much lately.
Ultimately, I’d love to be able to boot to Linux natively, and then use something like Bochs to run Windows should I need to run a program where no Linux equivalent exists, which shouldn’t be too often since most of the programs I use now cross-platform and open source.
That said, I’m starting to fall in love with FeedDemon. Now that I have it fully set up I can see why people like it so much.
