Long domain names

The Longest Domain Name In The World And Then Some And Then Some More And 64 characters – yep, that’s pretty long.
Of course, there is also Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll, the world’s longest single word domain name, named after a town in the Isle of Angelsey in Wales, which translated into English means “means St Mary’s church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St Tysilio of the red cave”. Locally it’s known as Llanfair PG, but a test of true welshness is being able to pronounce the name of the town. The name was actually chosen as a publicity stunt when the railways came to the town – by having a ridiculously long name, the committee that chose it thought that people would remember it and want to come and visit. is also registered, although it returns a 403 error if you to visit. seems to be available though.
Update: turns out the reason why it’s available is because I can’t spell. The correct spelling, is taken.
