Stealing cars is not for me

I had a little play around on GTA last night, but to be honest I think I’d be better off resigning it to the bit bucket. Basically, I can’t drive to save my life (in some cases literally). I failed miserably in the first mission, mainly because I had no idea what to do…
It’s also coupled with the fact that the game is very dated. Having played GTA3 and more recently Vice City, I was expecting something a little better (maybe some proper 3D instead of a top-down view). The graphics were very blocky too, even at 1024×768 resolution.
I think I’ll stick to Worms. Speaking of which, Worms 3 is on its way :-D.

  1. I love Worms Armageddon, and used to think I was pretty decent at it. Could beat all my buddies soundly with no problem. Then I went on to Wormnet, and realized how crappy I really was after having my ass handed to me nearly every game.
I originally quit playing because it didn’t work right with Windows 2000, but I don’t know if they ever patched that or not, but it’s still one of my favorite games.

  2. Maybe you’re looking for the latest patch? It allows it to work on Windows 2000 and XP – that’s how I got it running on my XP system.

  3. I find it more fun to see how long you can go in GTA without being caught, or how many Cop Cars you can steal in a row.
I installed GTA this week after I seen yours and Chris’s post remembering how fun it once was. Same game, just wasn’t as fun as I remembered.
