The windy path to war

So it’s settled – we’re going to war. Great. 🙁
Don’t get me wrong, Saddam is a tyrant, but I still don’t think war was necessary. Still, the only thing we can do now is hope that our boys from Blighty and the folks from Uncle Sam can show that they are a force to be reckoned with, and that there isn’t many civilian casualties or friendly fire.
Meanwhile, hats off to Chirac and Shroeder for trying to halt the process, and to Robin Cook, Lord Hunt and Clare Short for standing up against Blair. It’s just a pity that their actions were futile.
