About to leave

Just popping in before I leave for my lab session, followed by a dash to the station and then a train home. KSCP, my first lecture, got cancelled due to confusion about the room (and from the tone of the cancellation notice, the lecturer was not very impressed with the room allocation service…).
Currently reading the textbook to find out what I actually have to do in the lab – looks interesting. We’re about to start programming the code for a ‘cyberpet’ – the quote marks are used because this is a text-based pet that can only eat or sleep. But it serves as a nice way of introducing Java programming, and as the course progresses, we’ll be adding more functionality, apparently.
Anyway, this computer needs packing away, so I’ll be signing off. Ta ra.
