Open Source and Security

Lockergnome’s Bits & Bytes pointed me to this suitably synical article from the Register. Apparently, Open Source software is not secure enough, so businesses should be using commercial software instead. The author of the article does make a reasonable guess as to why, but I feel it may have more to do with the fact that the writers of the report are funded by Microsoft. Why else are 4 out of 5 web servers running Apache and not IIS?
Today has been a day of boredom, though I got plenty of editing done at the ODP.
