Stitched up like a kipper

As well as Timzilla and obviously me, there's another York blogger in the form of It's not exciting but it's my life. There's also a couple more that Blogger knows about.

And in other news, I've updated my Blogger profile - it now includes my ugly mug, along with a tagline for a new brand of plastic bedsheet. Hmmm.

Konqueror isn't the most advanced browser when it comes to CSS and standards-based designs. But the Blogger site and this template seem to work fine!

Only last week, if I told you that I knew a weblog writer who had switched from Movable Type to Blogger, you'd probably laugh. But Tony Steidler-Dennison did just that the other day.

The Blogger dudes really have made Blogger into a killer application, and while it does still lack the features of some blog packages, for a free system that is so simple to set up it's almost unbeatable. Many of Blogger's disadvantages - downtime, lack of features, poor UI - have been ironed out over time, so it's somewhat less suprising that some webloggers are considering a switch back.

Of course, I would send a trackback ping to Tony's blog, but Blogger doesn't have that feature. Yet.

Okay, the blog is resurrected. Mostly because I want to have a play with the brand spanking new and rather gorgeous new Blogger system but also because I may well port my templates to this platform in future.

Of course, my templates are pretty ugly in comparison to some of the works of art that you can pick, but it's worth a try.
