The 29th October

From the car park

Today is the 29th October. Thanks to Timehop, it turns out that today is an interesting date in my life.

Last year, we picked up Christine’s engagement ring, after it was altered to fit her finger properly. When I bought it a few weeks prior, I didn’t know her finger measurements, as it was almost a spur of the moment thing. Thankfully the jeweller offered a free resize service within a month of purchase.

Two years ago, we agreed to rent a flat in Sowerby Bridge. It’s not  the flat we live in now, but it’s in the same building, and was the first time we’ve shared a flat together. We moved in later on in November that year.

And seven years ago, I took the above photo whilst climbing up Skiddaw, which I believe was the first time I’d been up a mountain in the UK.

As for today? Not so eventful, apart from the washing machine breaking down.

  1. Not only a mountain but also a Wainwright and if it was in Scotland it would be a Munro. Looks like you had some low cloud that day too…
