Happy Boxing Day! (or St Stephens Day, or whatever you refer to the 26th December as in your country).

Christine and I received quite a few presents yesterday – the biggest being a food hamper and a food processor. Individually, I received a couple of comedy DVDs (Sarah Millican and Tim Minchin), some clothes (jumper, cardigan and a shirt of the sort that Chris Addison would wear) a camera bag for my new camera and a book called 101 Uses for a Yorkshire Pudding. Christine was given a copy of the latest Simon’s Cat book, some jewellery, some slippers, a green pig from Angry Birds and a teatowel, amongst other things.

Having spent most of the past two days cooped up inside, we had a stroll through York, carefully avoiding the main shopping centres but not failing to notice the large amounts of shopping that some people were coming home with.
