Here’s a meme by the way of NRT, whereby you gleam a list of the top 10 most-played artists from iTunes (or similar), and then answer various questions about them.

So here’s my top 10:

And now the questions:

1. What was the first song you ever heard by 6? Probably “Mr Brightside” but “Somebody Told Me” was the first song that I really listened to by them. As it happens I now prefer “Mr Brightside”.
2. What is your favourite album of 2? I’ve only heard “Start Something”, not heard their new one yet.
3. What is your favourite lyric that 5 has sung? Not sure, to be honest I just listen to Flogging Molly for the bizarre rock/Irish folk music combination, and not form deep, meaningful lyrics. Or in the Kaiser Chiefs, amusing lyrics.
4. How many times have you seen 4 live? Never, though many of my friends have. Would like to though.
5. What is your favourite song by 7? A tie-up between “Just The Way I’m Feeling” and “Just A Day” as they’re both great songs.
6. What is a good memory you have involving the music of 10? Dancing/moshing to one of their songs in a club, probably.
7. Is there a song of 3 that makes you sad? At a push, “Modern Way”, but not really.
8. How did you get into 3? Hearing their music at indie club nights.
9. What was the first song you heard by 1? “99 Red Balloons”, which remains my favourite.
10. What is your favourite song by 4? Probably “Where Have You Been?” but I like “Beer” too.
11. How many times have you seen 9 live? Never.
12. What is a good memory you have involving 2? One of my old housemates introduced me to them and we’re still good friends.
13. Is there a song of 8 that makes you sad? Not really. I actually used to really hate The Offspring around when “Americana” came out but they grew on me as my taste in music matured.
14. What is your favourite album of 5? “Drunken Lullabies” is the only album I have heard all of the songs from.
15. What is your favourite lyric that 3 has sung? “But you work in a shirt with your name badge on it, drifting apart like a plate tectonic”. Got to love geological references in popular music.
16. What is your favourite song of 1? “99 Red Balloons”…. I inadvertently gave that away earlier, didn’t I? “Wasted” and “Spokesman” are also among my favourites.
17. What is your favourite song of 10? “In The Shadows”. Some say it’s overplayed but I really like it.
18. How many times have you seen 8 live? Once again, never. I’ve only seen a few bands live and they’re not in my top 10.
19. What is your favourite album of 1? I’d have to say “Stomping Ground”.
20. What is a great memory you have considering 9? “Ride” was big about the time I bought my iPod, mainly as it was the music that Apple were using on their iPod adverts at the time.
21. What was the first song you heard by 8? “Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)”, which as I previously mentioned I never used to like but now find it okay. My favourite Offspring songs are “Want You Bad” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright”, however.
