The MPAA's new catchphrase "You can click, but you can't hide" is a remix of the famous phrase "You can run, but you can't hide," which was re-popularized by intellectual property abolishionist and EFF co-founder John Perry Barlow in a song he wrote fo... Read More

Looks like Ed took all that donation money and ran, he now has an army of geeks on his ass…

Spot on.

This is really sucky though, I never used loki but I have visited sites like it and it has made my life more convinient, Not having to wait for TV eps to air over here is the main bonus. Bloody MPAA.

It’s amusing how people panic when major torrent sites get shut down - there’s plenty of others if you take the time to look. For TV episodes there’s always btefnet.net :-)

Shhh! Don’t give them any tips! :p

Do us jaded old Neil’s World readers get a welcome? ;-)

hah! brilliant.

That image is brilliant!

Someone needs to hack the MPAA website now and put that up there. Not that I’d condone that sort of thing cough

Neil,

Hope you don’t mind, but I took your idea and made a slightly closer version of it. If you do mind, just let me know. :D

  • Ciaran.

Ciaran: I don’t mind at all :)

Ummmm how did they know they wern’t just blank files I mean they would have had to download 1 of the movies to prove that it wasn’t just a trailer that had been encoded in like 5000bit rate so it was like 700mb lol and if they did download 1 that would be illegal….

first time i saw the full-page mpaa ad (scaaaaary ooohhhh)in this wall street journal thing i saw laying around, i thought it would be great to wrap around my privates and proudly streak through a busy intersection. only, i don’t know where…or why. but it was a good thought, i guess.

I saw this, wanted to comment on this comment: “Ummmm how did they know they wern’t just blank files I mean they would have had to download 1 of the movies to prove that it wasn’t just a trailer that had been encoded in like 5000bit rate so it was like 700mb lol and if they did download 1 that would be illegal….”

If they get permission from the original copywrite holder, then it’s fine :P They ARE the bloody MPAA.
