Having not visited DumbLaws.com in… ooh… a few years, after linking to it yesterday I decided to check it out. And some of the laws are really bizarre.
Can someone explain to me the reasoning behind this byelaw in Liverpool? It is illegal for a woman to be topless in public except as a clerk in a tropical fish store.
And apparently there is a valid reason behind: A US citizen can take possession of any foreign, uninhabited island, as long as it contains bird droppings.
. And in New York: A person may not walk around on Sundays with an ice cream cone in his/her pocket.
Riiiiight.
