Neowin reports that Intel are going to release a 3.80GHz processor by the end of the year, with an improved version of their HyperThreading technology. Sounds good? Well, you may have not heard its ‘codename’.
Although this will probably be put under the Pentium 4 brand, currently, it is known as the ‘Prescott’ processor. Now, when I think of Prescott, I think of John Prescott, the UK deputy prime minister, who is the exact opposite of ‘fast’ and ‘sleek’ (what you’d expect a good processor to be like). Well, unless he’s in one of his two Jaguars, anyway…
