I think the problem is due to Trillian’s IRC component, unfortunately. I’m logged onto Newwave’s ODP chat server with mIRC now, so if the computer stays running I know where the problem lies. I tried restoring a backup from jv16 Power Tools, and then tried a system restore to Saturday, but the problem persisted. It’ll be a real shame – I liked using Trillian for IRC too 
. Having said that, mIRC 6 looks good.
